King baldwin.

During the first crusade in 1096 he joined his brothers in the journey. During the time with the large group, him, his brothers and a small army of around a few hundred crusaders left the group and headed for Constantinople. He over took the city, and the ruler of this city adopted him as his son ( he had no choice, otherwise he would be killed.) Baldwin betrayed him though and had him killed, so he would become the new leader of the city and the first count of edessa.. The man became corrupt, and no longer sought to please god, or save the holy land, instead he just wanted power and control, which he did achieve. He had sent supplies to other crusaders during the seige of Antich, but didnt join in the battle. He also captured Samosata and Suruc.He later assisted in the seige of Melitene. Baldwin fell ill around 1117, blaming his marriage. He recovered a year later, and was catching fish in the nile with his friends. Later that year he died.
